I was blessed to be part of the first-ever panel discussion on Salt + Light TV's weekly current affairs show "Perspectives" on Friday, March 5.

Host Pedro Guevara Mann examined the recent Vancouver Winter OIympics and asked the question: "Is nationalistic pride un-Christian?"  The panel featured Fr. Chris Valka, CSB, Salt + Light producers Kris Dmytrenko and Gillian Kantor, and me (via Skype).  We covered a whole range of angles, including the distinction between nationalistic pride and patriotism, and our favourite Olympic memories.

It went well overall, despite my first answer in which I incorrectly referred to Alex Bilodeau as Alex Thibodeau.  Whoopsies!
